Gymnocalycium in Aquaculture

These are assorted pictures of Gymnocalyciums in aquaculture.

October 1998 May 1999

The first picture shows a Gymnocalycium seedling. The seed is from SuccSeed. It is about 21 months old. Note the thin base and how strongly the plant has grown in hydroculture. The next picture shows what appears to be a Gymnocalycium baldianum seedling. This time, the spurt of growth is even more pronounced.

Gymnocalycium denudatum

This is a Gymnocalycium denudatum seedling. More pictures of the growth history of this batch of seedlings can be found in the Miscellaneous Seeds Page.

Gymno sp.

This might be a seedling from my 1999 Mesa Garden seed purchase. The picture is not very sharp but it is definitely a Gymnocalycium.
