Melocactus Graft Page 2

Here are more pictures of the grafted Melocactus, demonstrating just how obsessed I am with this specimen .

A bit top heavy, but an impressive specimen all the same. As the Melocactus grows larger, I plan to graft it to successively larger Myrtillocactus stock plants. I grow large columar types chiefly because I plan to use them in grafting.

After 4 months, little change can be discerned. Maybe the new spines are a little longer, a little more prominent. But beyond that, it appears that I will need to put it back into aquaculture in order to boost its growth (again.)
