Gasteria Flowers Page 2

Another two pictures taken twelve days after the initial pictures.

Eighteen days after the first pictures, some flowers have opened. The flowers hang down, and the opening is small. It appears to have been designed for insect pollination.

The stalk, buds and flowers in detail, taken in the same photo session.

More pictures of the flower stalk.

Taken almost four weeks after the initial pictures, the flower stalk is still going strong. Efforts to pollinate the flowers have proved unsuccessful. I don't know if the plant can self-pollinate, so I am actually working in the dark.
